DHAHRAN: Delegates participating in the Asian Physics Olympiad, held in Dhahran from May 4 to 12, experienced a diverse program blending scientific competition with cultural exploration.
The event brought together 240 students from 30 countries, along with 110 international physics experts.
While competing in advanced physics challenges, participants also engaged in cultural and educational activities that highlighted Saudi Arabia’s heritage and scientific progress.
Wearing traditional Saudi attire, delegates sampled local cuisine and took part in interactive experiences, reflecting the Kingdom’s hospitality and fostering cross-cultural exchange.
The 2025 edition marks the 25th anniversary of the Olympiad, a global platform that has long promoted scientific excellence and international cooperation among youth.
Organized by the Ministry of Education, the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, the final results will be announced at the closing ceremony on May 11.
